What to Expect
A Warm Welcome
As you and your child approach our check-in desk, you will be greeted by a member of our Rhythm Kidz Check-In Team. You will receive a name tag for your child and a corresponding security tag for yourself at our computerized check-in location. After your check-in, your child will be taken to their age-appropriate classroom where they will become part of an environment completely focused on Biblical truths. Please note, because of security reasons, parents are not allowed in these rooms unless accompanied by a Rhythm Kidz team member. All team members have been through a thorough screening process to ensure the safety of your child.
If we need you for any reason during service, we will text you or page you on screen in the auditorium using the number that corresponds to the one on your security tag.
Each child is encouraged to participate in age-appropriate opening activities such as working a puzzle, playing with toys, or reading a book. The teacher will use these activities to reinforce Biblical truths each week.
Gathering for Group Time
Each class time will have fun with songs and games to help the children prepare for story time. Prayer is always a part of our group time.
“The Gospel Project for Kids” is a DVD-based curriculum we use to teach your child Bible stories in a clear and meaningful way by using animation to appeal to each child’s imagination. They will learn basic Biblical truths that can be applied in their individual realm, all while having fun! Bible verses, songs, and games are also used to emphasize the theme and focus of the lesson.
A snack will be provided for your nursery child and preschooler. The snack for nursery children is Gerber's Puffs. The snack for preschoolers consists of either animal crackers, goldfish, or pretzels and water. Please inform check-in personnel of any allergies during the check-in process. Allergy alerts will be entered into the check-in system and displayed on your child’s name tag.
When you pick up your child from class, the teacher will check your security tag and your child's name tag for a match before placing the child into your care. A child will not be able to leave the room without the presentation of the security tag. In the event you lose your security tag, you will be asked to show proper identification before your child may leave with you.
Family Time: “Take-Home Sheet”
Each child will receive an activity page that includes the week's Bible story, Bible verse, and a related activity. You can read the story and the Bible verse with your child to help them understand the lesson and the verse. Save the “Take-Home sheet” and use it during the week. This interaction with your child can be very rewarding for the both of you.
Ministry Team Opportunities
Are you interested in making a difference in the life of a child? Our teachers partner with families to help lay an eternal foundation built upon the truth of God’s Word. Please contact us if you would like to use your gifts to share the love of Jesus with our preschoolers. It would be a blessing to talk with you about our ministry needs and walk you through the application process and training.
