You were designed by God for relationship.
There's not a lot of things I can say with total impunity, but that is one of them.

If you’re not in to reading, here’s the basic premise: studies consistently show that individuals with the lowest level of involvement in social relationships are more likely to die than those with greater involvement.
Positive relationships make you live longer.
This is because God created you for relationships. Here it is in scripture: Then the LORD God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him a helper fit for him.” Genesis 2:18 ESV
Even before sin was introduced into the fold, Adam had a need to belong. His need was filled by God with intimacy and fellowship with God, but of all the things that were good in the garden, the only thing that was “not good” was that Adam was alone. God fixed that by creating Eve.
Bottom line? Even when people come to Christ and fill their need to belong to God, they still need to belong to the community of God’s people.
Our groups at New Anthem are designed to help you fill your created need to belong. And in our throw-away society, nothing could be more important. Culture devalues relationships, to the detriment of society.
We want to give you a place to connect, protect, and grow. Imagine someone you can call when you’re discouraged, or someone to pray with you when you’re hurting. Imagine a place where you’re safe to have doubts, and a place you can be equipped to be more like Jesus. That is the heart behind our New Anthem Groups.
We want to see you grow, flourish, and become all that God has called you to be! We want something for you, not from you.
